Midnight at the Golden Gardens

Some couples hold each other quietly near the water. Others meet for the first time on the grand staircase. Friends raise glasses beneath the trees while musicians somewhere beyond the visible gardens fill the night with distant melodies. Every corner seems to contain another conversation, another secret, another beginning.

Among the crowd is a young woman in a deep green gown. She arrived alone, invited by someone she barely knew, expecting nothing more than an elegant evening among strangers.

Then, beside the water, she notices a man standing apart from the celebration.

While everyone around him is talking, laughing, and dancing, he is looking upward.

She follows his gaze.

Above them, the Milky Way stretches across the sky like a silver path.

“Everyone came here to see the party,” he tells her when she approaches. “But I think the sky is putting on the better show.”

She laughs.
