A white horse and a black horse stand side by side in complete darkness, their eyes hidden beneath the same deep crimson cloth. Neither can see what lies ahead, yet neither pulls away.
The contrast between them is immediate. One is bright, almost luminous against the dark background, while the other seems to emerge from the shadows. They appear opposite in colour, yet the red fabric connects them, turning two separate animals into a single story.
The blindfolds introduce uncertainty. Horses are creatures of instinct, movement and awareness, but here their most important sense has been taken from them. They cannot judge the road in front of them or know what waits beyond the darkness. All they can do is remain close and trust what they cannot see.

The crimson cloth becomes the emotional centre of the painting. Red can represent love, sacrifice, courage, danger and destiny. Wrapped around both horses, it suggests a bond stronger than their differences—a connection created not through sight, but through shared experience.
The white horse can be seen as light, innocence or hope, while the black horse may represent mystery, strength and the unknown. Together they create balance. Neither dominates the other; instead, they stand shoulder to shoulder.
The painting can therefore be read as a story about trust during uncertainty.
Life does not always reveal where it is taking us. Sometimes the future is hidden, decisions feel unclear, and the only certainty we have is the presence of someone beside us.
These two horses do not need to see the destination to continue together.
